What Gate Operators Work for Heavy-Duty Applications?

← Back to FAQ
Short answer

Heavy-duty means continuous-duty motors rated for hundreds of cycles a day and gates up to 2,000 lb or more — LiftMaster's CSL24UL/CSW24UL slide operators, LA500/LA412 swing units and HD barrier arms. Residential operators burn out on that duty within a season. For industrial yards, truck gates and critical infrastructure in Manitoba we also spec cold-weather packages, battery backup and redundant safety devices.

Not every gate operator is created equal. Standard residential units aren't designed for the punishment that industrial and high-security sites dish out. When failure isn't an option, you need purpose-built equipment — and one accountable brand supporting it.

LiftMaster Commercial Heavy-Duty Lineup

We install LiftMaster on every new heavy-duty job. The commercial line covers the duty cycles, gate weights, and reliability requirements that industrial sites demand:

Where We Install Them

Inherited a HySecurity or Other Heavy-Duty Operator?

We service legacy HySecurity, FAAC, DoorKing, Came, Nice, and Linear operators across Manitoba. If you've inherited a SlideDriver, SwingSmart, or StrongArm install we'll keep it cycling, source parts, and recommend a LiftMaster replacement when it's time. For brand-new installs, LiftMaster is the only brand we put in — one supply chain, one parts network, one accountability line.

The Bottom Line

Match the operator to the threat level and duty cycle. LiftMaster's commercial line covers the vast majority of heavy-duty applications without the supply-chain risk of niche brands. Over-specifying costs more upfront and saves on maintenance over the life of the system. Under-specifying leads to frequent breakdowns and premature replacement. We size the install to the site — and put one accountable brand behind it.
